Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker signed into law state Senate bills 35 and 70 which remove a 48-hour waiting period for firearm purchases and allow off-duty or retired police officers to carry concealed weapons at public schools.
Some argue that having a waiting period might stop impulsive gun purchases for people intending to commit suicide, domestic shootings as a result of passion, and so on.
