Sep 30, 2015:
A short-term funding bill which funds government facilities through December 11, 2015 was passed by the U.S. Senate (78-20), passed by the U.S. House of Representatives (277-151), and signed by President Obama.
This short-term bill came to fruition as a stopgap measure because Republicans in the House of Representatives have been trying to include the defunding of Planned Parenthood in the longer-term bill, which Democrats stopped in the U.S. Senate last week on Thursday. This sets up another "showdown" in December to pass a longer-term bill.
It's worth noting that 151 Republicans in the House voted against the bill and only 91 supported it.
