Russian President Vladimir Putin said he wants global cooperation to combat terrorism.
Putin's statement comes in the wake of yesterday's attack in Mali which resulted in the death of six Russians, and the downing of a Russian plane three weeks ago on October 31 which killed 224 people.

Terrorists attacked guests and diplomats at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Bamako, the capital city of Mali in western Africa. Initial reports say at least 19 people were killed and six injured in the attack.
Two affiliated terrorist groups have claimed responsibility for the attack - al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) and Al Mourabitoun (led by Mokhtar Belmokhtar).
According to the Al Akhbar news agency, Al Mourabitoun said the attack was carried out in retaliation for government aggression in northern Mali.
