New Zealand's Christchurch Mosque Shooter Sentenced To Life Without Parole | NPR

Around noon New Zealand time, a lone gunman shot and killed 49 people and seriously injured 20 others at two different mosques in the New Zealand town of Christchurch.
According to police, 41 people were killed at the al Noor mosque, seven died at the Linwood mosque, and one died in the hospital from injuries.
Three people were arrested in connection with the shooting, one of which is a 28-year old man named Brenton Harrison Tarrant who was charged with murder.
Apparently, Tarrant used a helmet-mounted camera to live stream the massacre on social media.
Just prior to the attack, Tarrant posted a 74-page manifesto on social media identifying himself as white supremacist who was out to avenge attacks in Europe perpetrated by Muslims. In the manifesto there was praise for Donald Trump calling him "a symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose". The mainfesto also praised Anders Behring Breivik, the shooter responsible for killing 77 pepole in Norway in 2011.
Two improvised explosive devices were found in a vehicle linked to the attack, and other weapons were also found.
