In an interview with Judy Woodruff, the host of PBS NewsHour, Hillary Clinton said that based on what she knows about it she opposes the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Pacific Rim trade deal.

Speaking in New Hampshire, Hillary Clinton announced her gun-control plan which includes the following:

  • Close the "gun-show loophole" on the private sale of firearms
  • Close the "Charleston loophole" (for people with a felony record, if a federal background check isn't completed and returned within three days the sale is not approved)
  • Allow victims of gun violence to sue weapon manufacturers by proposing a repeal of legislation

At a speech in Exeter High School in New Hampshire, Hillary Clinton unveiled her "New College Compact" to help make college more affordable.

Here are essential elements of the "New College Compact":

  • Under the New College Compact, no student should have to borrow to pay tuition at a public college.
  • Schools will have to control their costs and show more accountability to their students.
  • States will have to meet their obligation to invest in higher education.
  • The federal government will increase its investment in education, and won't profit off student loans.
  • And millions with student debt will be able to refinance it at lower rates.

Jul 24, 2015:

U.S. government investigators looking at a sample of 40 of Hillary Clinton's emails from her personal server discovered that four of those emails contain classified information, and that the information was classified when the emails were sent. Clinton refuted that saying the information was classified after the emails were sent. It's still not known how many of the 30,000 emails Clinton turned over to the U.S. State Department might be considered classified.

Jul 7, 2015:

In an interview with CNN reporter Brianna Keilar, Hillary Clinton discussed the topic of emails and using her own server when she was Secretary of State under Barack Obama.

Brianna asked Clinton, "Can you tell me the story of how you decided to delete 33,000 emails and how that deletion was executed?". Clinton never did answer that question directly, but she did say that everything she did was "permitted by law and regulation", that previous secretaries of state have done the same thing, and that she didn't have to turn over anything but that she turned over 55,000 emails to go "above and beyond" what was required.
